Monsal View Cottage is a beautifully maintained, Grade II listed self-catering holiday home in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District National Park.

Situated at almost 1000 feet in the picturesque village of Cressbrook, it has panoramic views over Monsal Dale as seen on the BBC's Railway Walks. It is said, quite rightly, to have one of the best views in the Peak District.

It is deal as a base for a walking, or cycling, vacation, with easy access to the recently re-opened Monsal Trail and Limestone Way. It is equally as perfect for a holiday visiting the historic houses and villages for which the area is renown.

Monsal View provides the discerning visitor 21st century comfort in a traditional setting.  The cottage has all modern conveniences, including free wireless broadband and boasts an open fire for those periods of less clement weather, or for a romantic night in.

Lying on the border of the low and high peaks Cressbrook is never more than 20 minutes from the major attractions of the area. Excellent walking, cycling and rock climbing are on your doorstep Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are a mere 10 minutes by car.

If activity isn’t what you want you can while away your time drinking in the view from the terrace on which you can dine during fine weather.

And if you don’t want to cook, good food and a traditional peak land pub is just a mile away (on the flat).
