Accomodation Summary

Cottage 1.jpg

Possibly the best views in the Peak District

Fully renovated in 2005 this traditional listed stone built cottage nestles at the top of Cressbrook village with panoramic views along Monsal Dale. It has everything the discerning traveller needs to make their stay memorable.

21st century conveniences are enhanced by the presence of an elegant black and white marble open fireplace, under floor heating, and wireless broadband for those who either have to work or simply want to stay in touch with friends or family.

Most stunning of all is the terrace which overlooks the dales and on which you can while away your time reading or dining al fresco should you desire. Dining table and chairs provided.

A walker’s paradise you need never get back in your car once you’ve unpacked as the Monsal trail and numerous long and short distance walks start almost at the door. That said Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and a host of attractions are within easy driving distance. Excellent dining is to be found nearby.

Cressbrook is a thriving village which has its own Well Dressing and Gala week. It also has the oldest silver (brass) band in the country which plays regularly in the local area. It has a clubhouse which serves beer, wines and spirits and is open to all.
